Experiences at Bizkar

Different ways to experience the farmhouse: share, create, work, or rest

A peaceful setting for small-scale work gatherings, meetings, or private celebrations (up to 20 people). Option to book by the day or with accommodation.

Accommodation

The most common experience is to stay at Bizkar and enjoy the farmhouse with friends or family, sharing time together and enjoying its warmth in a privileged setting. The renovation prioritised open, spacious areas, creating a welcoming atmosphere that invites rest.

Underfloor heating and a dual-flow ventilation system ensure comfort and air quality all year round. The house is equipped for a comfortable, homely stay. The minimum stay is two nights and, during July and August, four.

Meetings and events

Bizkar is a suitable place to host small-scale work meetings and events, for up to around 20 people. It has hosted executive committees, project meetings, foundation boards, and private gatherings.

The farmhouse can be booked for half days, full days, or with accommodation if necessary.

Creative workshops

There is the option to organise workshops led by artisans or creators—painting, reading, writing, or jewellery-making, among others—in which participants develop their own pieces during their stay.

They are usually planned as two-day experiences plus an exhibition day, although the format can be adapted to each training proposal.

Retreats

Bizkar is especially suitable for yoga retreats and other practices focused on switching off and personal connection. Professionals can organise activities here for their regular groups in a peaceful setting.

On weekdays, full-day sessions can be held and, at weekends, the minimum stay is two nights.

Walks and excursions

Located in the Pagoeta Natural Park, Bizkar allows you to go hiking or cycling directly from the house, with circular routes of varying difficulty. From here you can visit nearby places such as the Iturraran Botanical Garden, the Agorregi ironworks, Mount Pagoeta, or Zarautz beach.

Below you can view some routes that start from the farmhouse itself.

Filming and locations

The character of the farmhouse and its natural surroundings make Bizkar a suitable place for filming and audiovisual projects, offering privacy, spacious areas, and a variety of settings.

Bizkar has already been the setting for the filming of two movies: Ilargi guztiak, directed by Igor Legarreta in 2020, and another film production shot in 2025, whose title has not yet been made public.
